Dura Matters is a site dedicated to explaining how our nervous systems work through tangentially related short stories. The name comes from the tough protective outer layer of the central nervous system called dura mater. In Latin, it means ‘tough mother’. And since the nervous system can sometimes be tough to understand, the name seemed appropriate.
About the author- Just a Neurologist trying to explain how our brains work through some mediocre stories. Before I was a Neurologist, I was a Naval Flight Surgeon. I am also a novice beekeeper, recently received my first degree black belt in karate, and have done a few Ironman triathlons.

The website is a work in progress, bear with us. On a positive note, I just did an google search and found that our website is valued at $8.45 and we are making $0.15/ day, so watch out for our upcoming IPO announcement.
